She specialises in neurodevelopmental assessments and is trained in both ADOS-2 and ADI-R, with a strong track record of delivering comprehensive, high-quality diagnostic assessments for children, young people, and adults. Helen adopts a neuroaffirming, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, ensuring that individuals and families feel understood, respected, and supported throughout the assessment process.

Currently working as an Autism Assessor, Helen conducts detailed online assessments aligned with DSM-5 criteria, producing clear and clinically robust reports with practical recommendations. Alongside this, she worked as a Mental Health Practitioner within CAMHS, where she gained extensive experience in risk assessment, safeguarding, and supporting young people presenting with complex mental health needs, including self-harm and suicidal ideation. Her previous role as a Senior Social Work Practitioner further strengthened her expertise in safeguarding, multi-agency collaboration, and leadership, including supervising staff and contributing to service development.

Helen is recognised for her ability to work autonomously while maintaining high clinical standards, alongside her strong communication skills and attention to detail in report writing and formulation. Her lived experience of ADHD meaningfully informs her practice, reinforcing her commitment to delivering compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming care. She brings a thoughtful balance of clinical expertise, reflective practice, and creativity, supporting individuals to better understand and embrace their neurodivergent identity.
